Comex has released his jailbreak for all iOS 4 devices including the iPhone 4. He tweeted a link to http://www.jailbreakme.com moments ago.
Unfortunately, the servers were immediately slammed and have gone down. We will let you know as soon as they are up. We will also have tutorials on how to use the jailbreak as soon as it can be downloaded.
Once you have jailbroken your iPhone on iOS 4 you will be able to unlock it using UltraSn0w. iPhone 4 users still need to wait a bit for an UltraSn0w update.
Congratulations to comex and the iPhone Dev-Team for making this happen.

After we whispered that AT&T might be requiring messaging plans when you purchase select feature phones, we were hit up by a flood of connects. Long story short, it’s true, and here’s the break down:

• It looks like the minimum monthly cost when buying a “Quick Messaging” phone is around $20. That’s a $5 200 SMS/MMS plan and a $15/month unlimited data plan. It doesn’t look like you can walk out of the door without paying less than $20/mo in features in addition to your Read the full story

Let’s be clear upfront that this isn’t for the casual iPhone jailbreaker, but if you feeling like living on the edge, you can give your original model an added boost of MMS capability, or any device with OS 3.1.2 the power to tether. Highlighted in a series of tweets today by iPhone dev team lead MuscleNerd, whiterat (for MMS) and two-bit (for tethering) will get the job done, but both require tinkering with the baseband, which is exponentially more advanced and brick-inducing than, say, Read the full story

It all started with an iPhone-borne MMS video of a Kirby plush toy that I tried to send. You see, I don’t have a 510 number — that AT&T mobile number belongs to a friendly gentleman living in Fremont, CA, about 40 miles from where I reside — but that didn’t stop the message from going through the airwaves with his number listed as sender. Confused? Yeah, so are we, and a quick look through various forums say we’re not alone. We’ve contacted AT&T for more information, but in the Read the full story
