FBR Capital Markets predicts the iPhone 5 will begin production in Q3 featuring an 8MP camera and a Qualcomm CDMA-GSM chip, according to PCWorld.

In a research note, FBR says they expect about about 20 million iPhones will be produced in the third quarter with the iPhone 5 accounting for about 8 million of those.

OmniVision is predicted to be the supplier of an 8 megapixel CMOS sensor with Sony being a possible backup supplier.

Celebrity Custom Homes is equipping their new dwellings with two built-in iPads that control all of the electronic systems including lights, motorized shades, music and television systems, baby monitors and closed-circuit cameras.

The iPads are designed to remain docked in the wall but can be removed. A model home in the Overlook neighborhood in Lone Tree’s Heritage Hills shows off the iPad system which costs roughly $5,000. Audio, video, security and other equipment brings the total cost to about $60,000.

Code in the iOS 4.3 beta 3 firmware hints that the Apple TV may soon support online gaming, according to an Engadget source.

Several references have been found pertaining to “ATVGames” and “ATVThunder” that point to a controller of some sort, leaderboards (think Game Center), a way to schedule games (multiplayer?), and a store front (think App Store, iTunes). We’re particularly intrigued by two strings — “com.apple.appletv.play.live.thunder” and “.play.archive.thunder” — but what those actually mean in the grand scheme of things is ultimately ambiguous.

Additionally, the source found two codenames: Sedona and Flagstaff.

AT&T has posted their fourth quarter results which reveal that the company activated 4.1 million iPhones and added 2.8 million subscribers.

More than 7.4 million postpaid integrated devices were sold in the fourth quarter, including the second-largest quarterly number of upgrades in the company’s history. Integrated device sales included 4.1 million iPhone activations. More than 80 percent of postpaid sales were integrated devices.

Fourth-quarter revenues totaled $31.4 billion, net income attributable to AT&T was $1.1 billion, and diluted earnings per share totaled $0.18 including significant items.
