These are instructions on how to extract the backups that iTunes makes of your iPhone using iPhone Backup Extractor for Mac.
Step One
Download iPhone Backup Extractor from here and save it to your desktop.
Step Two
Double click to extract the archive then drag the extracted application into your Applications folder to install it.

The X-Power 1 USB cord has a built-in rechargeable battery to give you a bit of backup power on the go (assuming you remember to take the cord with you). Their ad seems to imply more than that though.
The benefit of the X-Power 1 is that it’s both a backup battery and a charger all in one and you don’t have to deal with carrying around an extra gadget. In this tutorial, I will be showing you how you can save and retrieve different types of data using the NSUserDefaults object. Saving this way is great for when you want to save small amounts of data such as High Scores, Login Information, and program state.
Saving to the NSUserDefaults is great because it does not require any special database knowledge. So if you don’t want/have an SQLite3 database for your app, this would be the way to go.
