Apple has revealed the pricing for the iPhone 4 when it arrives in Canada this Friday, July 30th.

According to CBC, an unlocked (SIM-free) version will only be sold at the Apple Store for $659 (16GB) and $779 (32GB). The iPhone 3GS(8GB) will also be sold unlocked for $549.

CBC also notes that while other carriers such as Rogers, Telus, Bell, and Fido will sell the iPhone 4, it will be locked to their respective networks.

We heard from 9 to 5 Mac that Apple was due to begin selling a contract-free variant of the iPhone in the near future “at list price.” And guess what happened when we inquired to an Apple store? That’s right folks — you can now pick one up for $499 (3G), $599, or $699 (3GS). We’ve confirmed this info at no less than five stores, so you should be hearing the same message at your local Appletorium. You may now be able to choose from a wide assortment of protective screen films at Apple’s online or retail stores, but it looks like that won’t be the case for much longer. As iLounge is reporting from multiple sources (and we have also heard), Apple will apparently stop selling all protective screen film products starting in May.
