GreenPois0n Updated, Hints At Imminent Arrival of New iOS 4.1 Jailbreak ! GreenPois0n Updated, Hints At Imminent Arrival of New iOS 4.1 Jailbreak !(0)

Just two days ago, we posted that GreenPois0n (the same tool which was initially planned for iPhone 3.1.3 and iPad 3.2 jailbreak) would be jailbreaking iOS 4.1 using the newly found SHAtter exploit.

Today, we were tipped of an updated Greenpois0n.com website which you can see here. The site currently consists of a round green logo with the skull on it:

This continues to reinforce our belief that iOS 4.1 will be jailbroken by Chronic Dev-Team’s GreenPois0n tool. However there is still no exact ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) for GreenPois0n’s release. With the workload being cut in half, expect this tool to be available soon.

iOS 4.1 Jailbreak coming soon! iOS 4.1 Jailbreak coming soon!(0)

News has arisen that, to be honest unexpectedly, a jailbreak for the iOS 4.1 is in the works. MuscleNerd has said that he expects Comex, who is the one who created the userland jailbreaks for iOS 4.0 and the Spirit jailbreak OS 3.1.2/3.1.3, to pull a trifecta and find another exploit to create another userland exploit for the new iOS 4.1 firmware that is going to be released on September 8th.

The second part of the tweet tells us that if Comex doesn’t manage to find another userland exploit, you are going to have to wait for the Dev Team to update the Redsn0w programs to support the new firmware.

But for now, if you are interested in jailbreaking or unlocking your iPhone

or iPod Touch, do not update further than the iOS 4.0.1 firmware. iOS 4.0.1 is jailbreakable using JailbreakMe.com.

App Store No Longer Supports iOS 2.x Apps App Store No Longer Supports iOS 2.x Apps(0)

The App Store will no longer support iOS 2.x applications, according to the iOS 4 Readiness Checklist for developers.

Existing apps in the Apps Store and those built using iPhone SDK 3.1.3 should already run on iOS 4 without modification. However, you should test your existing apps on a development device running iOS 4 to be certain there aren’t any compatibility issues. All new applications and updates to existing applications must be built with iPhone SDK 4. Please note, the App Store will not longer support applications that target iOS 2.x.

Apple also recommends resubmitting your application with high resolution artwork for those who have not done this already.
