Dual SIM iPhone 4 case

Dual SIM iPhone 4 case

Sure, there are any number of phones with dual SIM card slots, most of them built for Asian markets, but the iPhone 4 is about the furthest thing from dual SIM: in fact, it doesn’t even have one Big Person SIM to call its own. Luckily, USBFever has a hacktastic solution to this problem (a followup to their iPhone 3G version), with a new $30 case that can host dual full size SIM cards on the back of an iPhone 4 (entombed in some classy clear plastic, naturally), while running an adapter to the iPhone 4’s micro SIM slot. You can then switch between the two SIMs from the iPhone’s own settings menu, though unfortunately you can’t rock both SIMs simultaneously. Looking for a more DIY approach? Bust out your X-Acto and check Read the full story

Step One
To perform these instructions you must first jailbreak your iPhone. It is strongly recommended that you use RedSn0w to jailbreak rather then a userland jailbreak such as JailbreakMe.

iPhone Dev-Team is Adding iPhone 4 Unlock to UltraSn0w

The iPhone Dev-Team has announced that they will be adding the iPhone 4 unlock to ultrasn0w and are in the process of fine tuning the payload to make it as quick to load as possible.

The team is also reminding users that there are alot of scammers trying to capitalize off their work. So if you are being asked for money, you are being scammed.

White iPhone 4: DIY edition

White iPhone 4: DIY edition

Sorry, we couldn’t wait — having spent 11 hours on the streets waiting for the iPhone 4, it’s only natural to give our precious new toy some extra special care. With the help of iFixit’s teardown guide, we decided to take the plunge with our steaming hot Chinese delivery — a white front cover (with a shiny proximity sensor area above the earpiece), a white back cover (with “XXXXX” marked as the model number, ergo a prototype), and a Retina Display unit. Alas, there weren’t any white buttons in stock at the time, but let’s pretend this black-and-white combo is the new cool. Read on to find out how the surgery went.

Android 2.2 Froyo Runs on an iPhone 3G – How To

Android 2.2 Froyo Runs on an iPhone 3G – How To

Yes you read that right! The Italian site iDroid has managed to port the latest Android 2.2 OS (aka Froyo) to iPhone 3G. This port is based on the same iBoot method which was originally released for both iPhone 2G and 3G with Android 1.6.

Apart from WiFi and sound, almost everything else is said to be working, including sending of calls and SMS text messages. If you are brave and want some adventure, follow the Italian-to-English translated instructions below to get Android 2.2 working on your iPhone 3G. We might have our own version of the guide up if we get this working. And hopefully, the developer behind iPhoDroid will bring support for Android 2.2 so that we can install it on our jailbroken iPhones within minutes.

Modder transmits Wii games to iPod touch

Modder transmits Wii games to iPod touch

Three years ago, a certain obiwan22222 wowed us when he played Wii on his PSP (with a little help from Sony’s LocationFree technology). For his next trick, our man has done the same thing on an iPod touch. But wait, you ask — is there a LocationFree client for iPhone / iPod touch? We don’t think so, so we’ve pinged him for an explanation. He’s being extremely tight-lipped about it all, saying only that 1) this is not fake, 2) he got rid of the five second lag, and 3) all will be revealed Read the full story
