We first saw photos of what was claimed to be the plastic back casing of the unreleased next generation iPhone back in February, which showed a matte black finish, unlike the current generation’s shiny plastic. Now another photograph has surfaced that compares the matte black component the shiny plastic back casing of the current generation iPhone 3G.
The new photograph shows the differences between the two components, mainly how strikingly different the matte finish is compared to the iPhone 3G’s shiny plastic.

There still hasn’t been any solid confirmation that this is indeed the back of a next generation iPhone, but it’s consistent with rumors, and with nothing to disprove it so far, it’s looking more and more like the real deal.
