Microsoft Releases First iPhone App: Seadragon Mobile, Super Hi-Res Image Zooming

It was only a matter of time until Microsoft made something for the iPhone, and they’re starting out with a bang. Right off the bat, the first app they’ve launched shows off some of the more impressive technology owned by the company that works especially well on multitouch devices. We’re talking about Seadragon, which lets users “infinitely zoom” in on high quality images extremely smoothly with next to no loading time or lag whatsoever.

You can grab Seadragon Mobile as a free download in the App Store.

For those of you not familiar with Seadragon, here’s a video demo of the desktop-version from the company before they were acquired by Microsoft:
