So, the election is less than a week away and how are you showing your support? Whether it’s for McCain or Obama is your choice. I want to show my support each time I make a phone call, let a friend use my iPhone, or anything via my iPhone; 3G of course. How did I do it? I have Winterboard installed which lets me change my background and you’ll notice I had to black out my friends pics and their names. I use a program called CallMe and I have icons on my iPhone 3G’s springboard so it’s a one touch call. Lastly you’ll notice that I replace the carrier tag with Obama using MakeItMine. If you have a jailbroken iPhone you know all of this. I just want to help others.
If you don’t have an iPhone 3G I’m truly sorry, but there are some great HTC phones that have multiple
features still not included in the iPhone models and also the standard features, which the iPhone 3G still lacks; DAMNIT Steve!
Lastly, in order to do what I’ve done just jailbreak your iPhone 1st gen. or 3G. Once it’s successfully jailbroken you’ll use a program called Cydia. Open Cydia and install Winterboard. Then go to a political site or blog on your iPhone and save a nice picture of your candidate like I’ve done. Then return to Winterboard and and click the User Wallpaper option (it should have a blue check mark by it). Make sure and drag the option all the way to the top of the screen because Winterboard prioritizes your widgets and options. Push the Home Screen button and your iPhone should respring. Also use Cydia to download CallMe and MakeItMine.
