For those iPhone users that own jailbreaked devices and Windows operating system based computers, WinSCP is an invaluable tool, that allows them to connect to their device and transfer files via a browser based drag-and-drop download.
To use this program that you can download below, follow these simple steps:
- 1. Make sure you’ve installed OpenSSH on your (jailbreaked!) iPhone or iPod Touch
- 2. Find out your iPhone’s network address (in settings -> network)
- 3. Connect via WinSCP to your iPhone’s network address (with login “root” and password “alpine” — you might want to change this later)

- 4. Now that you’ve connected you can easily transfer files between your iPhone / iPod Touch and your computer using WinSCP.
Note: initial connection might take up to a minute. Let it run and don’t panic if it takes a while.
